It’s time to reveal the front and back cover for A Fantasy Writers’ Handbook.
I’m sure you’ll agree that the wonderful artist behind it, Mark Vernall, has done an amazing job. I love every little detail, from the bored princess waiting to be rescued, to the drunken dwarf pissing gold. The many hours must have been painstaking and I greatly appreciate each and every one.
So here they are, the front and back covers…
And the back cover…
What do you think? I’d love to hear your views! Please share in the comments below!
If you’d like to commission Mark for your own artwork, drop me an email and I’ll send you his details.
A Fantasy Writers’ Handbook will be released on 12th June 2019, and will be available for pre-order in the next few days. In the run up to the release I’ll be sharing some teaser chapters from the book (if you missed yesterday’s post, check out my chapter on character growth), and I have a few giveaways lined up too 😉

The cover art is great. The text used for the back-cover blurb looks good, but it’s rather difficult to read.
Thanks Thomas! I was debating that myself. I may change it
This has just got me chuckling, Richie! I couldn’t see the drunken dwarf until I blew it up to 380%, thinking, “This I must see!” It’s quirky and fun – and I love the Cthulhu-like tentacles invading the bathroom! (Though it’s a modernish one – but then again, it doesn’t want to take itself too seriously!.
